The green loop shows the outer eyelid selection around the eye.

Select the outer eyelid edge loop.
Select the edge loop around the outside of the eyelid.
You can also select a vertex on the edge loop to identify where to separate the upper and lower eyelids.
Tip: add the split vertex when AdvancedSkeleton needs to know exactly where the upper and lower eyelid sections separate.
